My Time has come !! help tower 22 JHB

LoneGunMan, you still preparing for war, I'm ready to join!

Since Sunday 6th, haven't been able to connect to tower 22 JHB as normal. Spent 2 hours on the roof playing with my antenna.

Strangely enough when calling the helpdesk, I spoke to a dude that seemed fairly competent. He informed me that tower 22 was last worked on on tuesday, so its nothing they did, but also told me there were only 2 nodes on tower 22, 253000 and 218000, I normally connect to 218000 but know it just searches after that portion of the tower.
Now I've resorted to driving cirles around the tower, and checking forum on the road. I haven't picked up 218000 yet. I hope helpdesk has some info for me when I get home!

If anybody else is having problems on 22 node 218000, please post, or otherwise, if you connected on 218000, please tell me, maybe I drove around the wrong tower, that would really be upsetting!

I'm assuming I'm the only person on this forum that connects to node 2 on tower 22??
Well, I for one am quite pleased at 2nd level Orcs efficiency, connection was returned 2 hours ago, called sintech, to find out the problem, the support told me they recycled my cell? WTF..
Apparently its a common problem that occurs when a cell gets locked, and the modem in question will not be able to connect,
PROASM, care to comment on this ?
Apparently, my modem locked up a cell, and so couldn't connect to that node!

you play with your antenna on the roof?? dude.... tell me where you live so i wont make the mistake in raising my family there...

Why do you have to "put your two cents in"... but it's only a "penny for your thoughts"? Where's that extra penny going to?

dorris, it is true that a node (cell) hangs on occasions for whatever reason and we reset (recycle) it and all goes well again, also there is no way that a modem can lock up a node (cell).
And it is not common for this to happen but it does happen sometimes.
