Zak2, have you got the emails to prove it? If so, then it would be of great help to the community at large if you remain in contact with the forum so that others that want to cancel can use your case as a reference.

I spoke to Nadia and you can only cancel if you do not have coverage.

they modem will be returned , they will contact me as to when, and i told them that i am cancelling because of slow speed.
they had no problem with the reason

Zak2 how long did you have your modem for and have they actually paid you as yet? This is very good news indeed.

MalPark Durban [Tower 36] 256kbs package.
Telkom ADSL Speed Test Meter
Your line speed is approximately 46.2 Kbps or 5.7 kBytes/sec

Well I have also cancelled. Back to good old ISDN. Glad I never had Telkom uninstall my line. Got to admit, 128K ISDN is alot better than the 256K package. Also re-instated the R7 callmore plan.

At least you get what you pay for..

MyADSL Local (South African) Speed Test
Your current bandwidth reading is:
127.10kbps

which means you can download at 15.88 KB/sec. from our servers

i'm not cancelling - I WANT this connection, and they'll bloody-well FIX it... we KNOW what this thing can do, and it was working. they just need to make it work again. don't give up guys. we're winning!

I too want to keep this connection. The thought that while I'm sitting here at my desk at work I'm downloading porn at home at 3-4k a second makes me feel all warm inside..

I'd rather wade through heaps of cow manure and resort to signaling with a flashlight than go back to using telscum.

It will be a cold day in hell when... Ah, hang on.. Um, can anyone else smell ****?

Hmmm, maybe i must give helkom a buzz and see if ISDN or ADSL is available in my area, i'm still sitting with average speeds of 2k/s.

Nikla... you need professional help! :)

we KNOW how good this technology can be! we all had decent speeds before May - and it ROCKED back then. Somewhere along the line something was screwed up on Sentech's side, and I still believe it's when they started their "optimisation" bull... undo that, and we'll be back to what we had before the cow manure hit Nikla...

Perseverance Comrades! We'll win this war yet!

Must say im lucky in that regard still get 35K/s downloads but thats not my issue its gaming that annoys me.

Actually from what I've heard it is now R17.00. I believe it is not R7 callmore anymore but R8.50 callmore (unconfirmed). ;)
