PS: You must try the voice dialing - works without training - amazing.
yes, by the way for those that dont know, mohammedm is very knowledgable. :D
check his posts in the "which new cell phone to get" thread too. ;)
If he really likes you he might supply links to some nice apps for the N80 :p

edit: ooohhh and it appears GTi too ;)

Thanks GTI, I ordered one off Ebay, only R30!! :-)

I've downloaded 2 themes already, prob is some of them it's hard to see text messages and stuff cause the backround is too busy! Gonna try get some cool applications later, I just hate "free trials" where it nags for a code every 10 seconds (and I hate paying for cheapo software)

Thank you

Many thanks for the kind words.
I will start a new thread with N80 links. Was a little apprehensive at first as I do not know what the forum rules are regarding the sharing of "sensitive"/"backup" information.

no probz :D
good idea! :)

Just a bit about the price of the N80. Went to a few shops in Century City last night.
Altech Autopage was the cheapest on the N80 on MTN with R74 on the Procall120 (R315, incl.) package. On Vodacom they were R600 (or so) on the Talk120 (315 incl.)
MTN itself the N80 was FREE on the Procall120 (R285 excl.) package.
CelluCity wanted R1299 on the Talk 120 package.

Quite a lot of price differences if you ask me...

They all had relatively available stock.

Got a quote from Autopage for R1437 on MTN mycall100 (R135pm), is that a realistic price? That works out cheaper than R74 on procall120 (315pm).

Most people don't have the bucks R1437 to fork out.Where's the contracts when I bought my N80, R588 upfront, and R159 per month with MTN mycall100,not bad for a new phone contract,I got my phone 3 months now.

What's the difference between mycall100 and procall120?

All these price differences are driving me fracking crazy!! :(

mycall100: 85 offpeak minutes, 15 peak minutes, 15 smses. R135pm

procall120: 120 anytime minutes, no smses, reduced (slightly) peak rate after free minutes. R285pm

mycall100 works better for me because I use peak only occasionally, so it's nice to have those 15 minutes.

To get the phone on procall120 means you're paying an extra R3600 over the 24 month period in subscriber charges alone over mycall100. On mycall 100 you'll be paying R1437 for the phone, but less monthly minutes. So I figure we'll be saving R2163 over 24 months if we take it on mycall100. Unless I'm missing something

Mycall100 will be my choice as well. Just a pity I am not with MTN and MNP has been further delayed

Decided to go and get the N80 last night on Vodacom but none of the frackers (read SP's) could help me. Vodacom system was down or something!!

I'm tired of waiting. Have waited since June.
And with the stalling tactics of the network providers, once again asking for extension for MNP, it may just end up being next year some time. :(

I am probably gonna go for the cheapest contract I can get in order not to be penalised too heavily when wanting to move.

5 more sleeps then we will know more about what's really going to happen with MNP
