Need some help with router and bridge mode

Hi all,

I am seriously going insane :(

We have a Marconi Router (Conexant Hasbani title on IE bar). This is connected to our ADSL line. ALL our PC's go through a Linksys Wireless-G router to get to the Marconi router(internet gateway).

Now being one who has never ever played around with multiple pppoe accounts and bridged mode...how do I set this Marconi so that I can dial-in with any ADSL account through windows (As I would like to have a different ISP account for each user). I read the huge manual through with no luck. I have been struggling for 2 days :(

Anyone have any ideas?? Please keep it simple :)

The best I can come up with is error 678: remote computer did not respond, when I dial through wan miniport.

Is this router even capable for this?? The manual talks about bridged mode but nothing to follow on.

I can get both of my two accounts going seperately on the router as per normal and the Internet is fine then, so they both work. I have tried setting two accounts..one on Pvc1 and other on Pvc2 with Bridged mode selected on both and pppoe llc. Still nothing :(. Is this even the right setting to use??? lol. 1483 Bridged IPLLC seems to do nothing either.

I think I need step-by-step so I will also try asking for support on Marconi website.

Install raspppoe, then go to the properties of your LAN connection, and properties of PPPoE. Play around there somewhere and you should be able to increase the number of simultaneous connections. Sorry for the vague description, but I did it a really long time ago :(

Not sure if it will work on your setup, but worth a shot.

i have been trying to do what you are doing as well with my cisco adsl router and my netgear wireless router. i dont think its possible because of the wiress situation. thats what im thinking. ill try play around some more when I have time this weekend.
 
Although we have the wireless router we are all using cables. Only on occasion do we hook up the laptop wirelessly.

I was also wondering if its saying remote computer did not respond because it cannot get past the first router??? I will try plugging in directly sometime over the weekend.

Otherwise any more suggestions would be much appreciated.

Yes I can ping both. I can even get into both of their setup screens on any PC.

Microcom = 10.0.0.2 (ADSL)
Wireless-g = 192.168.1.1

I can get Internet to work on any one pppoe Account easily. This bridged mode however is a different story :(

BTW there is no USB connection anywhere, all routers are connected via network cable. I don't know if this makes any difference
 
Hey its working now :D:D

When I unplugged the cables out the wireless-g and plugged straight into the router it allowed me to dial-in....dammit thats all it was lol.

Strange though, I would have like to keep the other router in. Perhaps I have to set a routing path or something on the wireless-g in order for it to work?? I dont know.
Now I can say that everyone here is responsible for their own internet which everyone is happy with because it avoids disputes.
