Hi All ~
Not being a seriously technical person, I have been banging my head against a wall for days now. Allow me to explain the situation, and see if it makes sense to anymore more schooled than me...
1) I have a network, with 4 PC's on it.
2) All the PC's plug into my NetGear DG834GT (108mb) DSL modem
3) I would like to setup individual PPoE connections from each PC
(not one generic dial up from the modem, this is what I'm currently using)
(each user has their own 3gig dial up)
Previously, I had a Marconi Telkom Modem - from which I deleted the dialup Username & Password. I then setup a new connection (XP, New Connection Wizard, Connect the broadband PPPoE) which worked like a dream.
With this modem, I hit my connection (dial up) link, and it just hangs on "Connecting to WAN Miniport" Error 687: The remote computer did not respond.
I have searched on Google, and checked the NetGear site, but it seems that I may be the only person in the world who would want to set things up this way. Is it at all possible with NetGear, or just a dream?
If anyone can assist, many many many thanks!
