K, drove all the way to Vodaworld with parents today to go apply and pick up new contract with D900. The original plan was to put it in my mom's name, we wrote out all the forums but on inspection the guy declined as my mom's pay check is not over R3800 per month,

now I can guess why they could put this in place, I think because

R156.50*24 = R3756

So I'm guessing its something to do with that so vodacom is in a way insured payment I suppose but it should vary between contracts cause the 1 I was going onto was

R101.50*24 = R2436

So if what I assumed was correct above, could vodacom not lower the minimum wage thing to R2500 on this contract?

I doubt they would lower it s1ght, too bad is too bad bro, sorry to tell you that, the best bet would be to save up and buy the phone and stay on prepaid, contracts are sh!te in general dude.

You're still at school right? Don't bother with contracts dude, there's a whole lifetime to become indebted to :)

Yep I'm at school & I think that this contract is cheaper than buying the actual phone & at the moment I'm stuck with a Nokia 6210 & thats still got a green screen & since its so old it dies if I try make a call & thats an unexageration since the one time it was plugged into the charger & it died when some one tried to phone me :( so i'm in need of phone...

Get one of the cheaper contracts, wait for specials from Nashua Mobile and Cell C

It is a special instead of R156.50 for 24 months on everyday weekend with Samsung D900, its R101.50 for 24 months on everyday with Samsung D900 with Nashua Mobile

You can always just buy a new battery. I know a place in CT that sells cheap Chinese import batteries for like R40 odd per battery. Sure, they don't last that long, but for that price, I can buy 3 or 4.

EDIT: But you probably want a phone that can run mxit, don't you? ;)

Soz, tried that, does exactly the same thing (leave me charging every night :( ) ...

Sell your pc s1ght! heheheh, kidding man, I've got a nokia 5100 and I want to throw it against the wall each day, I also need a new phone, but I'm not going to be fooled into a contract, if they don't want to give it to you based on your moms salary, screw them then ;)

Anyone from vodacom wanna put in any thoughts....cough cough :)

& 1 last rant for this thread, the guy at the counter said that for the minimum wage the internet says terms and conditions apply but I checked on the contract page on vodacom page now & it doesnt! Then I went and read the terms and contions that are a seperate link & also nothing about earning at least R3800...

S1ght,

Check out MTN's MyCall 100 packages, I got a new V3 Razr Black for R79 a month. I guess the D900 will be more expensive, but might still be able to get it on a MyCall 100 package at big discount.

I sent an email to vodacom to enquire if Nashua mobile or vodacom have stated any where in any of their terms and conditions about a mininum wage thing and this is what they replied

Dear Michael
Thank you for your e-mail.I have just spoken to Clive at Nashua and
he advised me that the information you enquired about is not on the website.
