There's the danger.
We want all homosexuals and atheists executed.
We want alcohol, pork & gambling industries shut down and it doesn't matter how many families starve because of all the lost jobs and export revenue that result.
That's just for a start.

I'm all for Muslims condemning the terrorists but when it comes across as forced and insincere its worse than the condemnation of French support of cartoonists.
Muslims often practise taqyiha to make people believe what they want them to believe.

Unfortunately there are a lot more imams who condone the attacks.
You're going to struggle to find those that condemn as the trending thing amongst our Muslim friends is to rather focus their energies on the blasphemous French.
 
@Sollie. I like your happily ever after attitude - so you'd be ok living under sharia law if Muslims obtain a majority?

Respect other cultures is fine but will they respect yours?
Count the number of churches, synagogues and temples in Saudi Arabia, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan and get back to me.

I did say rights and responsibilities; your clue. That last one includes respecting my customs etc. If you're not happy with that, please go home. Of course if we wish to ignore that or allowed it to be gamed, that is how we see our rights diluted. Clear concise rules consistently enforced makes for good neighbours.

Expand that to, say you wishing to do the call to prayer. Why in my neigbourhood? No - that affects me and my neigbourhood. Your rights does not trump my rights. If we end up in a strife situation, you shirked your responsibility. Of course bleeding heart neighbours don't help, nor a legal system biased on rights.

I regularly disagree with you but I have to admit you can be very balanced in your posts. Agree with all of that, we can let them be if they respect us as well.

How would you define my neighborhood? There are 49 Christian families and 51 muslim families in your neighborhood. Is it your neighborhood? Or there are 99 Muslim families and yours is the only Christian family. Is it your neighborhood?

What if my cult believes subjugation of women and acts it in their own households. Let us say there are scriptures in which their god tells them to do so. Let us say they are beating their women regularly and you don't get to hear screams but now and then you spot a bruise here and there. This doesn't affect you & your family, right? As long as you are comfy, all good? They fully respect you, if I may add.

It’s no secret that Jews and Muslims get along great with one another. It’s the Christians who don’t want them to for their own agenda. All the conflict in the ME has been driven by Christian forces.
