Hi Guys
I just swopped my Nokia N80 for a N 61 and have endless problems connection to the net via its Vlive! settings. Vodacom have OTA'ed me their new setings etc, but I keep on getting an error: "No packet data connection" It does not seem to be a network problem as my K800i seems fine. I have also seen other people have had a simmilar problem but no one posted the answer to all this. The phone has also been updated with the latest firmware, and I aslo tried to use the settings wizard to no avial. Does anybody have the answer to this one? I need the vlive settings to work to watch TV on the phone.

Thanks
Regards
MIke

The question is whether you are able to use the SIM card currently in the E61 on another phone to access Vlive. I have just verified with my E61 I was able to watch Sky News. (R5 wasted if you ask me but now I now the facility works).

Yes... Your going to have the other settings you installed manually activate it under your connection settings. The APN will stay @ Vlive till you manually change it to the others you installed.

Hi

My sim works fine in another phone. Which settings do you use in the E61 if not the Vlive! one? I have tried them all to no avail. Can you guys give me the manual settings and I can program them please? The Vlive ones, Realplayer ones etc. I have tried everything. My friend also has a E61 and he nas the same problem I have... NO Vlive and no TV.

Regards
Mike

Here are my Vlive! settings:

Data bearer: Paket data
Access point name: vlive
User name: None
Authentication: Normal
Homepage: http://live.vodafone.com

Advanced settings:
Network type: IPv4
Phone IP address: Automatic
DNS address: Automatic
Proxy serv. address: 196.6.128.12
Proxy port number: 8080

I don't think your problem lies here though. Maybe your phone can't work with the Vlive! apn. Can you send and receive MMS messages? Then you know your phone's GPRS isn't "broken".

Try this: Create a new bookmark and set the access point to Internet.GPRS instead of Vlive! Set the the address to "http://www.google.com" for example and see if you can access the site. By the way I suggest removing the proxy address setting from Internet.GPRS if it is defined.

My firmware is:
2.0618.06.05
14-07-06
RM-89
Nokia E61

I had to change the Vlive! homepage address after the fimware upgrade. They spelt "live" with to l's ie. "http://llive.vodafone.com"
