Nokia N70 PC Suite

I can't get this installed - keeps telling me it won't recognize the USB device, tried Infra red + blutooth the whole shebang.

Second run in with Nokia software, neither has been pleasent - anyonje have a suggestion

The PC Suite on the cd is probably old. Did you download the latest one?

you supposed to connect your phone to your computer only after you have installed pc suite and the program prompts , otherwise the installation gets messed up.......did you do this?..........try uninstalling and doing this.........also: once its installed and you connect the phone sometimes you have to maximise pc suite and then it sometimes only shows the phone as connected.......

I have done it all several times, i am literate with PC's etc, first time it recognized a bunch of drivers and then uinformed me it didn't recognise the device.

Similar result on two different computers. And yes i downloaded the latest version.

I got the sam phone and did not had any problems. Do you use the cable that u got with the phone? Did you tried other usb ports?

what about updating the phone's firmware with the online tool?

Had same problem with my 6680 - I seem to remember you had to get a certain windows driver for the particular cable you are using - and that was easily found on the International Nokia website... hope it helps

I have already had to throw away a faulty USB cable. Do you have access to a computer with a recent version of PC Suite that works? Try your phone there or borrow a cable that you know works.
