Nokia N80 / N70 Ringing problem

Hi
Is anyone else having a problem with their Nokia N80 or N70 ringing with the Nokia Tune instead of the ringing tone that you set?
Im having that problem, I have the latest software as well. I have tried everything, tried different ringtones (except Nokia Tone :p ) but when someone calls, its the Nokia Tone, its so annoying.
Any Idea what could be the problem?

May sound a bit silly but you sure that you changed the ringing tone and not the video call tone? Or even activate the profile that you changed the tone?

possibly check that you have created caller groups with the ring ring tone selected .

Yeah im sure I changed the ringing tone and I even activated the profile.

3Gee, I have checked the caller groups and that doesn't seem to be the problem.
 
Does the selective tune play when you select it for ringing tone. Profiles_general_Personalise__Ringing tone_option_change_select tone & let it play.if it play then select it. I don't is any problem should arise after trying that.If it does not work after this then take it back to your service provider to have a look.
 
there is a patch available for this problem....check on nokia.com , under support i think i got it from
 
I have a Sirroco and it does the same thing, the tone you choose expires after a week for some stupid reason, will have to find a way to deactivate it, didnt know the N-series had the same problem.
 
I had this problem. The way to do it is go to your music library. Select the track and select set as ring tone. It sets the ringing tone to all profiles. Then you can set ring tones to different people.

If you personalize profiles it will still ring with the nokia tune.
 
I had an N70, it was stolen on Wed :( i am so sad. To fix this problem, goto menu, my own, log, then options, and select the phone to keep logs or something like that to the least amount of time, i think it is one week. then it will be fixed. sorry if it inacurate but i dont have a N70!!! SOB SOB. I should start a help buy Silent_Bob a phone thread!
 
I had the same problem with the ringtone randomly changing to the default ringtone. I went to Nokia.com and download the firmware update software and ran it. It is fine now (and slightly faster too). My software on my cellphone is 5.0638.3.0.1 18-09-06 RM-84

Tried everything you guys said but still, The first few months I had the phone, it was ringing fine, no problems. But it just started now recently.
ah well, i'll just stick to nokia tune. :(

delete all the tones you loaded and reload them.
i had the same problem and thats what i did, it worked.
i also noticed it tends to do that the memory is almost full.
