Hi all,
need some advice from the pros,,,

I am currently upgrading my contract with MTN and i have a serious need to be mobile with 3G. I can either take a contract with a 3G Card or use the "built-in" HSCSD 3G function on the n93. So my question is , which would be the better choice and why?

Thanks allot

HSCSD is not the same as HSDPA.

If its speed you looking for, an HSDPA card would be faster than the ordinary 3G of the N93.

so what potential speed am i looking at with the n93 384kbs ?
i know that HSDPA is up to 1.8mbits, however i saw HSCSD listed as one of the connectivity options on the phone so i just wanted to clear up if thats any faster than ordinary 3G.

HSCSD ("High Speed" Circuit Switched Data) is the GSM equivalent of dial-up, so it's super old-fashioned. Packet-switched data FTW!

oh dam ! thanks for that i thought that for a new phone like the n93 HSCSD would mean something better or new, but well, anyway thanks atleast im more informed now, i have also had a look at n95 and that really is a monster phone, so maybe i'll look into the possiblity of waiting to upgrade for that. I know it supports HSPDA so surely speeds would be faster than 3G however MTN might not have enough coverage for HSDPA ! so were do i draw the line and say "im gona settle for this option"

Dont get a N93, I just feel for you if you do, wait and get the N95 or E90, it will be best for you.
