Hey guys
A couple of friends and I are starting WoW soon and I know most of these questions have been answered before, but I cant seem to find alot of the threads relating to them, so if anyone could please point me in the right direction regarding these:

1. Which EU PvP would you recommend playing on?
2. To BC or not to BC? We are complete noobs...
3. I keep hearing about addons for WoW and have googled a bit, but there seems to be billions of them, any ones that are must haves?
4. Whats the latest patch and are there any SA sites to dl it from?
5. Horde or Alliance? :P

1. If Horde def. Twillight Hammer.
2. BC ?
3. U will need (Damage meter, Titan Bar, Gatherer)
4. No idea. I'm 100% up to date with the downloads from the live server.
5. I have 1 of each.. doesn;t really matter their all fun.
 
Agreed with Pitbull but I would say first start a toon on a PVE server. Nothing ruins your game like getting ganked by a lvl 15 in the starting area.

I find Horde definitely more fun (just my opinion tho - more varied characters). And if you guys are thinking about starting Bloodelves or Draenei you are gonna need BC. Otherwise you can wait until you've lvled enuf to go through the dark portal to the outlands (level 60 or so).

As far as addons: definitely Titan Panel, maybe some cooldown timers, chat mods, quest tracker, ctmods. Though some ppl think its a sin to use them ;-P

As for the patches, they download fairly quickly if you go into the options on download and uncheck throttle speed. ftp://ftp.games.saix.net has some of the older patches (Before the Storm and 2.0.3) but there is still about 500Mb of patches after that and I have no idea if they are hosted in SA. Think we'll give BC a skip for now and maybe start on a PvE server instead ;)

And damn thats alot of patching...
 
PvE = Boring :p

u don't need TBC. I only bought it this week-end as I'm lvl 52 on my main now.... and it was payday :D
 
Can you transfer your char from a PvE to PVP server or would we have to start again?

I doubt that you can....

Not to sure. The Ganking is not that bad... They're taking a piss at you.
It can be a reall irretation sometimes... But it's so nice to return the favour when your a high lvl :D
 
Lol, well I'm keen to play on a PvP rather, I reckon just doing quests and raids probably gets a bit boring and would like to beat (and be beaten by) other players :P

That is the nice thing about WoW. 24/7 conflict.
