Hey everyone,

I want to get myself counterstrike source today to play online.

I was just wondering if it is actually possible to play it online with a shaped account or should I just forget it?

Does is run fine on the local saix/mweb servers with a shaped line?

And if the answers are all know, can you configure css through a proxy?

Please help me quickly as I still want to get it today.

CS:S runs fine on shaped AFAIK unless you are already hard capped. Since the servers are local you wouldnt have issues.

As for proxy access i cant tell you much as i dont play through a proxy. But it should be possible.

Cool thanks, and also that shouldn'r change after 1 nov?

Local access has never been shaped, so dont worry, its all cool in this area.

If you plan to play overseas, dont even start planning ;)

Come November, you can still play locally but once capped on saix adsl accounts, you wont be able to access any content. If you opt for IS ADSL Account, you can play still after capped, very similar to the current saix uncapped local access.

ok cool, that's good enough. But gaming doesn't use that much bandwidth anyway, does it?

FPS Games anything in the range of 20-40MB / hr, BF2 can even use up to 80MB / hr from what Ive seen.

that should still be fine then. thanks for all the help!!!
