Pathetic National Interconnects

Hi All.

So, 1st their international sucks and now their national is getting as bad...

{I realise that it's their upstream IS/Dimension Data but they should then sort out upstreams}

We all know IS's links to Telkom are screwed, now however it affects iBurst as well...aarggh one just cannot win...

I have noticed lately that my local speeds are actually quite bad too.

The local speed tests, which are always much fatsre than the international ones all report around 400-600kb now, even late at night.

Yet yesterday I got 550kb international speed on a test just after getting under 500kb on a local one. I run them again, using gamco instead of telkom and a diffrent int. test and got similar results.

My download speeds have increased alot since a few days ago, its almost getting back to normal (80-100KB) for me, but my speed tests (local) are still slow.

WTF?

So, one phones the helpdesk and i'm told nothing is wrong ... more brilliant support....

Does not help to explain that I'm COMPARING service .... aarggh

No connectivity to IS network ... anyone else experiencing? SAIX & Verizon OK though.

local is sill the same for me... avg 50 - 60kb... international has improved for me over the past few days.

iburst goes through UUNET (Verizon). So is the backup link to IS?
