The thing's RRP is R899, but there is a rebate payable to the distributor that P&P have discounted into the price, hence the R600 price tag.
Not a bad deal if you can afford it.

Another option is to buy the Vodacom Big Bonus Voucher. PnP sells it for R600 and you get R900 of airtime for 12 months. R75 is loaded onto your SIM every month. If you need more airtime during the month then top up with a normal voucher.

I never knew that,i spend around 600 rand on airtime a month on pay as you go.But R389 is for my data bundle.

I'm on vodacom contract (month to month, 2 yr contract is over) but rarely use my cellphone. Can I convert it to prepaid and keep the same cell number? If I can, what is the process?

I think you have to do something ridiculous like port to another network, and then port back.
