per sec vs per minute

Help the confused.
Taking a vodacom brochure it states that.... on 4u prepaid:
peak - R04.77c/sec (R2.85/min)
off peak - R01.9c/sec (R1.12/min)

Why do they show the calls in minutes? I thought if you are on per second billing, you "talk for a second/pay for a second"? So why show in minutes as well?

So that you can easily compare 4U with the regular (per-minute) prepaid package. Per-minute, 4U is more expensive than the regular package. Therefore, for users who mostly make calls that are about a minute in length (or longer), the regular prepaid package is cheaper. If most of your calls are shorter than 50 seconds though, then 4U is cheaper.

Its just to help you compare between tariffs.
Eg Virgin claims to have the lowest airtime prices but if you make a call for 15min, voda is the cheapest.
