Who's the winner here according to the south Africans (would prefer personal judgment than google results, been there already)... Really, bought the game me think is not too bad as people are saying! Maybe online yes, but haven't tried that... Don have FIFA08

I have been palying Fifa since they launched it on PC and I have enjoyed it thorougly havent played 2008 as yet but 2006 was great. As for Pes2008 its AI is just pathetic the Goalie just falls over and misses most of the shots and when the opposing team gets the ball its almost impossible to get it back from them. I say Fifa 2008 is way better.

Pes 2008 is the better game. EA game gave the pc the most powerfull of all the gaming platforms a ps 2 port hence fifa 08 isn't next gen on the pc.
PES 2008 is worse than pes 6 but it's still better fifa.
Some nice options with setpieces and realistic passing. Else than fifa were the ball always goes to the player here you actually need to place the pass correctly ect. With the 2 patches the Ai has improved it's still not great but it's getting better.

Geez guys seacrch the forums, there are a ton of PES vs Fifa threads...it all comes down to a matter of taste.
Which is why i asked for a personal opinion... I never played Fifa before so can't really fairly compare... But Yes, PES2008 is not a major improvement from PES6, but can't say is worse, i guess it's always the case adapting to a new model of anything today... Patches does make a whole lot of difference i mus say...
