So we have now lost two of the top guys in this generation after Ken left Sony a while back..

Obviously the gaming industry is not as relaxing as playing the games themselves.

Love them or hate them EA is the biggest gaming developer in the world. Now the ex 360 boss is heading up their largest section... I wonder how much love the PS3 versions are going to be getting now?

Considering that EA still releases games for the PS2 and it's humungo base i dont think EA will be that daft to give less love to Sony. They're there to make money and they wont jeopardize that revenue stream.

On another note, anyone notice South Africa get's some EA loving on their homepage ? I thought it was sweet anyway How often to you see a S. Africa link on game dev webpage

EA is (for all their faults) probably the best locally represented game publisher.

I think it's a bit of a loss for Microsoft, PM was a great people person. The new guys looks interesting (ex EA president) I guess he'll make his mark over the next few years.

I thought it was only Madden that was running better than the PS3 couter part, and even that doesnt mean EA favoured the 360 and thus shafted the PS3, could that not have been a purely hardware issue ?

Damnit... I meant current in the terms of the ones currently in development... Typing to quick again..

Anyway it would be Madden and NCAA...

I am not saying they are favouring the 360 but it does appear that they have a better understanding of the 360, and with the 360 having a much larger install base especially in their target markets, I wonder if they will see any reason to put more effort into improving their PS3 knowledge.

Now with a direct line into the 360's HQ it makes it even more appealing to aim for the 360 mainly.

From the interview with Peter I read, he made the move because his family wanted to move back to the Bay area, it wasn't a business decision, although it definitely seems like a move up!

I doubt we'll see favouritism.

Besides the ease of development thing, EA is an American company and so, have a closer proximity if nothing else to MS.
