playback avi files on psp

Somehow alot of the sites that I'm trying to access is not working for me when I search on google otherwise I wouldn't be asking you folks. Does anyone know of a freeware program to convert avi files to be played back on the psp? Going on a long trip to the far east and won't be taking my brick with me so need to load up some movies on my 2gig psp.

there are so many but the easier on is imtoo pspo convertor the old one,not the latest.check www.qj.net for ones to,there are so many out there,but i have been usin imtoopspconvertor for 2 years already.

hmm...ok..so I got the software, what do I play the converted files with? Does the PSP has it's own media player or something? Sorry, I'm abit of a newbie in this area as I haven't fully utilized my PSP

Get PSPVideo9. It's what I use. It's easy to understand, converts almost any file type into the right type for the PSP and copies the files you've converted where it needs to be on the PSP.

Haven't used any other program but this one.
