Please help me choose a phone

Last time I checked the Nokia 6120 classic was the third highest rated phone on GSM Arena (after the N95 and E90) ... and for under R3000 - considering the features - I believe it's a very good option.

Seems that the Nokia 6120 Classic is a good alternative to the 6110 Navigator - which is now being recalled by Nokia/MTN. :(

Maybe it would be a good idea to get a separate GPS module with the 6120 Classic?

nokia 1110

it has a torch :D

Sony Ericsson W810i ... its such an awesome phone ... doesn't give problems ... and the only problem that ever affected sony ericssons, the joystick, was removed. I wouldn't get a Nokia smart phone ... they have lots of software problems from what I've heard ... but you do get the people that never experience those problems.

I have a SE W800i ... I've dropped it, cracked the side of the cover, accidentally launched it a few times with my blanket ... and god knows what else I did ... and yet it still functions beautifully. The only problem I have now is that a small piecce of the case is stuck by the vibrator ... so sometimes it vibrates and sometimes that pieces lodges itself and the phone doesn't vibrate.

I got a 6110 navigator from mtn this wknd and have had no problems!! The gps is AWESOME and the phone has none of the normal nokia lag. Battery life is better than the n95 I used a little while ago. Even after using the gps for 2 or so hours, being on mxit for an hour or two, using the hsdpa, making calls, taking videos and photo's and sending a bunch of messages purposefully trying to run down the battery it still lasted just over a day!! Which means normal use should get you by for 2-3days. The panorama is also pretty cool. you press the button once then just the phone and it takes the rest for itself!

The two speakers are VERY LOUD and you can hear the gps fine while you're driving even with the radio on. I just want to get a holder cause i'm busy holding it while i drive.

Music through the speakers is also very loud and clear

All in all i've tried to find any fault whatsoever with it so if there is any problem I should change it, but still in vain. It's a great phone and i'm not gonna let it go!! Mtn apparently has stock in its warehouse, so if you want one i'd say tell them to fetch it!

6110 Navigator is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The money we save on those textbooks cover the exorbitant cost of the cellphone. The parking money pays for airtime. No one uses polyphonic ringtones anymore...you copy the MP3 (that you'd like to annoy people with during exams/family dinners/public places) from your pc to your phone.
