Press release: CIAG 2026 LGE Voting Guide

Too presumptuous, there's many ways to skin a cat. The desire for more open markets doesn't mean anything in particular and he did already suggest it's thought similar in concept to the Singapore model.

(As for the Swiss Canton model of governance; never heard anyone say that's a bad idea, not even you.)

For sure it's experimental though, so there's always those risks. But we would have to see a lot more about it first before actually judging it.
Vigras & TB may of course now jump in as before in this respect and demand a floor plan; fair IMO, except I'm certain Jack (CIP) isn't at all gunning for independence like Phil may have been.

My take away from this - although my flavour of the year changed to the CIP, I see no signs of actual movement. Just gentle influence, which is far from what's needed in this climate... so nope.

Hang on - so the goal of the "Cape Independence Party" isn't independence for the Cape?

Perhaps this explains why people who supposedly desperately want Cape Independence completely ignore the parties that purport to support it. 🤔

The why does he describe it as "real tax haven" when Monaco rates are lower?

He is.

You can also ask why has the Zulu nation always ignored the party chiefly representing them? We know why, but politics is still strange.

The IFP has has always had solid support in KZN.

The Cape Independence Party and the Referendum Party have never had any support in the Cape.

 You're being really hyperbolic.

They have 17 seats in the National Assembly.

That's 17 more than the CIP.

They have 15 seats in the KZN Provincial Assembly.

That's 15 more than the CIP has in the Cape.

They may be underperforming, but in comparison to the Cape secession clowns they're soaring. 🤔

Ok, you're trying to pound CI. We were only talking about misrepresentations by parties. Have fun.

So, Monaco type tax haven? Drive the general populace to the outskirts of town? Line up the seashore with overpriced apartments? Toll the main routes to he moon and back? Charge exorbitant fees for parking in the CBD to create low noise haven for the wealthy residents?
Literally already Cape Town. With tolls-for-poors on the rates bills. Thanks to the DA.

Whereas CAPEXIT (who certainly believe in helping the poor) believe the focus should be on creating jobs, improving education and growing the economy rather than increasing welfare dependency. They also believe poorer, established Cape Town communities should be prioritised, while the working and middle classes shouldn’t continually be squeezed through higher rates and taxes to fund it all.

Clever people understand leftist politics increases dependency on welfare; geniuses understand this is by design. And there are far fewer clever people than not. Thankfully more Capetonians are waking up to these truths, and especially those of the Cape Independence Party among others.

Typical political speak. Every political party scribbles "we shall focus on creating jobs" as an afterthought in their manifestos. In reality, they have no idea how. I skimmed their manifesto. Generic political speak.

Spoken like a typical billionaire. Let me guess: old money irked by taxation, minimum wage, non-commercialisation of social programs, etc.
