Problem with my new VM sim (64k)

I was using VM on my N90 Nokia, was working perfectly, phone fell on water 3days back, so i bought HSDPA/3G/Edge Data Card, stick in the card the network was fine' i had 3G/HSDPA coverage, so when i connect to the Internet; it says connection failed, now my sim is not working at all.

Some of my friends told me i should go back where i bought it & ask for 128k sim, which i did' they told me to wait 30days for 128k sim. I cannot wait that long, what must do?

I tried using mtn the last 2days, the bill is R277.00:eek: , i can't work like this.
Please help?:mad:
