Ok I have Vista 32-bit OS installed on my machine.
I was trying to install the latest beta drivers (163.44) and
I get an error message saying that my OS is not 32-bit.
Any ideas? your help would be much appreciated!

:)

Why install the beta?

does it do something the latest "stable" release does not do?

That's the thing about Beta's, they might not work.

I belive that BioShock requires the BETA drivers to be installed...

No, bioshock works fine on the latest "stable" release (162.22) on vista. Am using Vista ultimate 64 bit and had no problems running bioshock, DX10 wasnt worth it in bioshock IMO.looks the same as when I run in Win XP, just 10fps lower

However the new drivers are optimised for Bioshock, you might want to try them.

These usually aren't beta in the same sense that a new app is, they are the same core drivers just with more fixes. They usually perform better than the stable releases unless there's a bug.

Did you remove the old drivers before trying to install??

Would I usually do is uninstall from device manager then remove old drivers with the XDC drive cleaner.

Then install the drivers. 163.44 works fine for me on home premium 32 bit.

The XDC drive cleaner can be found here:http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=91371&page=7

And on Beta vs the whql drivers. The only difference between the 2 is one has had whql certification by ms and is a month late compared to the beta drivers. The beta's have so far performed better than the whql's each time.

yeah I got the international version and now it workds great. Got a huge 20+ FPS increase in games becuase of these drivers.

Thanks for the help guys!

ok go to vista control panel ,go to the bottom and see vista updates.SEach for updates, then view updates, and take not of the nvidia driver version.
Now go to the nvidia site and download the full 50 meg one, please not the beta one.
After you install the 50meg one scan from your grafix card for latest rivers and download it,Restart pc and you good to go.

this worked for me in vista business 32 bit.A word of warning,Please play your games in xp.
I do this,Make a dual boot...The frustration will be lessened.believe me
