Ouch, yeah well I have to admit, from what I've seen Resistance seems like the only decent game on the PS3.

Maybe I'll update this thread around March/April ;)

Mmmm... maybe somebody can go ahead and review some blu-ray movies in the meantime? :p

Well the PS3 is easy to get your hands on but the Blu-Ray and Games seem to be a bit harder....

Who launches a games machine with no games available seriously!

Err.... Sony? :p

Animeworx commented the price for the PS3 (60gb) would be around R5600-5800 and games would retail at around R500. I think Ster Kinekor will be trying to reduce their gains from sales simply due to the high pricing overseas.

lol over R2000 more than a Xbox

I doubt the games will be the same price when they are $10 more in the US (or so I heard)

I still find it funny how the Sony fanboys always justify the high pricing due to the BR drive. What upsets me is that Sony is simply sticking the BR drive down your throat without even giving you a choice, unlike MS who sells it separately.

Maybe Xmas 2007 will have reasons for me to even consider the PS3... till then there will be plenty of great upcoming X360 games to play. :)

Looking at the Xbox 360 game launches this year I don't see the PS3 making much headway for a long time still...

Everyone is also aware that as soon as the PS3 starts getting some decent games the Xbox will just drop their price and get more people onboard.

They are already into the 14th month of their cycle. I see the Xbox 360 lasting 5 years and Sony says the PS3 will last 10... Seriously in 5 years the next Xbox will be out and will be 10x better than what the PS3 offers now..

Sony need a miracle right now.... Hopefully this doesn't sink them though. I don't want another monopoly

I am quite keen in getting the HD DVD add-on... but its whole purpose is to watch movies... no use if they aint available in SA... :(

Well I guess you can bring them in via Amazon or DVDCrave or CD-Wow, they'll probably be cheaper than locals anyway.
