PS3 keypad of FAIL.

shame, if I wasn't such a cnut, I'd maybe even feel sorry for the fscker .......

Sounds more like someone was staring in the mirror during/before decission time, time to throw that mirror away or cover it as surely the lack of taste here is very clear. What car do you drive? LOL Its all in the eye of the beholder or "Elke brommer op sy eie drol"

Back in full inebriated form I see. May I suggest you stay clear of the klippies and coke so early on a Sunday, you're going to end up wrecking your Cortina.

Seems as though the bots have resorted to posting 3 month old articles :D:D

Because the world took one look at that PS3 PoS and hew it was a crappy rip off. Which it is.

But for the guys on the real thing - The Messenger Kit/Chatpad is actually a really awesome little keyboard, I brought one in from the UK a while back. The 'killer feature' is that you need it for messenger overlay, in other words a Live Messenger pop up while you're in game, you don't have to quite to the guide.

I like where the 360 one sits, almost seems like a gamepad and keypad in one mold but I'm guessing it is detachable ? I'll decide how good these things are once I had both in my hads but its still better than sitting with a big keyboard :)

whatever happened to that phrase "The complete experience, no need to shell out further money on anything" .
Dunno why you would say that dude. Its not like the PS3 owners HAVE to buy the keypad as the PS3 supports USB and Bluetooth keyboards, and in anycase, no one needs any of these devices or a keyboard on any of the consoles as they got the onscreen keypads.

The 360 fit's snug as a bug, and can be detached, although not easily. It comes with a new headset as well. It changes the balance of the controller quite a bit, you find your hands sit a bit further back for balance, which suits me quite nicely, smaller hands may not like it as much, my 4 year old doesn't like it, it's a bit heavy for him.

The PS3 keypad doubles as a touchpad at the press of a button. Something I think would be very appealing when browsing on your console.

Amazes me how people's opinions differ... I currently use a USB keyboard to type on my PS3, and it isn't ideal by any stretch of the imagination.

I'll be the first to place my order for the new keypad, it looks great! The price isn't great, but that's about the only thing I can fault it for at this point.

LOL@Console mini keypad.... is this real, or is it photochopped?

what i dnt like about the ps3 keypad is that you have to shift ur gaming hand position to type; though you would have to if ur using a BT keyboard and i doubt that you have to type during gameplay but it could pose future problems.
