Hi everybody

3 quick questions:

1. Just wondering if anybody can give me some info on push to talk services here in South Africa, how does it work, do you need 3G to use it? Does the Voda net support it?

2. Have been connecting via GPRS through my 6680 to the internet. Getting download speeds of about 3kb per second - is this normal?

My celltracker says the following:

CellID 26831 (68cf)
LAC 202 (00CA)
Net 655 01 (GSM)
Name -
Signal: 83% - 83 dBm
3G comes and goes the whole time but I have never been able to connect to the internet with anything else but GPRS. Have been able to make 1 video call, which broke off halfway.

3. On my phone there are IM features, do I need to sign up for an account online to use these or does Vodacom offer this? I am on business contract. Tech support's people apparently can not help me.

Regards
Ruan

Load the netmonitor and use menu 81.1 to force the phone to use 3G only.
3G works just fine (full speed) even with 1 bar of signal.
Netmonitor can be found at www.symbian-freak.com

Last i checked netmon has been taken off symbian freaks i`m sure myself or one of the guys here can mail it to u.

Thanks

Thanks for the quick response, I did that and set my netmonitor to use only 3G. No luck though - lots of bars but the nokia software still only connects at 115kbps gprs. 3G is always on now though (not disappearing anymore) but as I said no connection speed difference, do I have to reinstall the nokia pc suite?
