Quake 3 : Arena 'No response from master server'

70% of the time I get this and can't play - yet other times I can find 48 servers - even within 3 minutes of the 1st attempt. Does anyone else have this? Why does it happen?
 
I would also like to play q3 online.But i don't have the original cd's:(I aslo don't know where u can buy them still.In sa.

Yes! you can! STEAM has quake 3 on for about $17.95 :D
 
Well, you'll be able to get it on Xbox Live Arcade in a few months ;)

Failing that if you HAVE to have it on PC, There's Quake Zero also coming out and that's Free.

Apparently q3 was declared free so you dont need a working cd key to play :)

Ive been playing the game for about 2.5 years now, so I should know :p

True in way.... I still don't see free copies of Q3A on the internet :) Aslo SGS Q3 server still needs a CD key but Gamezone kalahari CPMA/OSP servers don't! hence that's why it is more popular!

I think SGS warSow server is out dated :( should ask games master to update!

*UPDATE*
If you are still havving problems connectiong to servers just get X-fire [ www.xfire.com ] and add all of your fav servers to thier server list when you want to play just click one button and you are instantly conected to the server!!
