Hi there

What do I need besides a working Bluetooth connection between my phone and PC in order to access the Internet?

I have successfully installed the "dial-up networking" connection option for Bluetooth, but only want to know what else do I need.

I want to use the phone as a modem.

Regards

Libs

If you still hav the cd that came with the phone, install nokia modem options. In control panel, you'll see Nokia Modem Options.. enter your gprs access point here. Then connect using the DUN connection u setup and "Nokia 6600 (Bluetooth)" as a modem.

If your open nokia modem options and dont see the 6600 listed as a modem add it as u wud a normal modem telling it not to auto detect

I've just had problems with the nokia modem options software,

all you need to do is put *99# in as the phone number and leave the username and password fields blank, and dial. It will then connect with your default GPRS access point.

Is that network specific or does it work for all networks nGAGEd?

AFAIK it's nothing to do with the network actually, but it's the command for the phone to connect to GPRS, so it should work on any phone on any network

Depends on how your access points are setup too on mine i dail *99***2#
Something about my gprs access point being the second one in my profile list.

oh ya, forgot to mention that, so if it's third on the list you would dial *99***3# and so forth, otherwise *99# just dials the default

:(

no luck

it hangs on the "registering computer on network" part, and then fails... :(

maybe my gprs is not setup correctly, will have a shufti at voda's website...

/edit : got it working, but can't browse at all... :(

will contact my service provider for some assistance...

I got it to work, but it is slower than a 33.6k dial-up link...

Thanks Digital, for the link, will have a shufti at it.
