japanese chicks do crazy ****.
I battle sometimes to sleep from some of the videos I've watched.....over and over.
 
After watching it, I got about 3/4 before I quit...Mostly because she is just so annoying :| I can understand the humour she was going for but she failed at it...She definitely should have thought up some better questions as well, but in all honestly I don't think she had any way to relate to people so she resorted to trying to be funny.
 
I wouldnt mind getting in there am sure she can surpass a "gamers" fantasy
 
Well... watched most of it.... you got a bunch of gamers at a LAN for a few days sleeping under their tables and probably drinking coffee/coke and eating junk.... I dunno... I did LANs a long time ago but this just looked disgusting, smelly, mank.

The chick was obviously just teasing people, and she is quite cute, brunette is a bonus.

So it wasn't Pippa?

I don't see the point of LANs these days with ADSL etc. More and more games are becoming online only and it's always a schlepp/risk carting your PC around.
 
Mmmm Forget about the actual insulting or whatnot. Gaming is gaming and chicks struggle to grasp the core of it. The handful of actual true to the bone gaming woman are few and far between...so write it off as her simply not getting it.

But all these posts about her being Hot....has anyone actually looked at her piggy face? Oh my sack, I would have to be well plastered to consider her with clothes on.

And Lans are awesome nostalgic fun. Going back to one tends to dissapoint more often than not...The interwebs is here, my friends lives there.

Well I saw the lighter side of the coverage, it was really the presenter who made a fool of herself to be honest. The Mordor parallel was kinda lame and the way she interviewed people was just rude. I remember her asking some guy "do YOU have a girlfriend?!!??!" and he was like "I'm married" and she just seemed to deliberately go out there with a 1990's mentality towards gamers.

I suppose people feel that you should get people who understand the gaming scene to do the coverage of the event(s).

On a side note, I actually enjoy Pippa's coverage and she does strike me as being a gamer girl.
 
I found the coverage HILARIOUS, especially the part where she goes, "That's what that smell is..."

Lmfao, she is hot I and they are just jokes, she didn't really get personal with them.
 
I was very dissapointed, the stalls get less and less and there are more of the same stalls
 
Why didn't any of the people she interviewed have:
1: The wit to pick up she was mocking them?
2: Some more with to use her mocking as a advantage to turn the scenario around?

All of the people she interviewed looked so serious, some even scared/intimidated. Heck, it's a hot chick with little/no grasp if what is going on trying to make fun of the situation. Instead of doing something like offering her to sit in your chair(or lap) and play a couple of deathmatch rounds to get what it is about, all of them chose to act bothered/irritated and reiterated the misconception that all gamers are dweebs with bad hygine.

Had this been a bike/car/pensioners show (where bad-hygiene is not necessarily frowned upon), she would have had her hands full. But alas, it was rAge 2011.

Question:
Did most of you who were "offended" by this Verge insert also boycott South Park's broadcast of "Make Love, Not Warcraft" episode?

I agree that this video was done it pretty poor taste and was a little offended, and from a marketing standpoint it seems a pretty strange move as they are insulting the kind of audience they are trying to lure in, but some of the responses to this whole mess is just playing into the whole sterotype they were depicting. I think some of the violent and sexist responses are uncalled for.

Maybe they did, but the Verge possibly edited to show the stereotypical gamer who has never spoken to chicks or who isn't quick enough to respond to questions like these in a witty manner. I know my responses to her would've been less than flattering. They say they did it in humour, but they need to think about who is watching this show, who it's aimed at and who is going to find it funny. They completely missed the mark.

Way to go.

That was so weak. It was cut and past cos they posted the exact garbage over at my ps3 forum. The episode following this segment also had her cruising around at rAge and she was saying "boooorrriiiiing". So is that really the message that The Verge wants to send out there? Don't bother coming to this big gaming expo cos it sucks and is boring??????

But the blame shouldn't be put solely on the bimbo presenter; the editors and producers are even more guilty for allowing rubbish like that to air.

It's nothing new for The Verge to diss their audience tho. Many times when I've watched the show, I've seen both Pippa and Mo mock people that have sent SMSes to that irritating ticker they have running across the screen.

back on point, she wasn't funny or relevant is what people are getting at... no real reason for her to be there in the first place. Unless, like some other posters said, she was giving guys head in the bathroom or doing something constructive.
 
My god... why do gamers take themselves so seriously?

Are you too "hardcore" to be joked at ? To weak because you can't pew pew her with you mouse ?

Pippa is hot... just be glad there was even one hottie at that sausage fest.
