RAIN - throttling or slow network ?

I ordered the RAIN LTE deal from WebAfrica to get away from using ADSL since Fibre is not in my area yet. I also have a telkom sim with the R50 for 500Gb midnight data which hovers between 17/17 to 21/18

Im curious to see what the speeds on RAIN are going to be.

Finally got it, speeds are 25 down and 6 up

hahahahahahaha

The mybb long term members will appreciate this.

Roughly every 6 month mybroadband has a new favourite. (look at my join date). New network with massive capacity. Couple people join, bath in the excess capacity and report on social media that it's the greatest thing ever. Eleventy billion new people join. Now the network is flooded and no longer measures up to the promised land that the initial joiners witness. Many angry posts like this one follow.

Rinse and repeat.

Pretty much every major provider has had their turn at being the "hot" ISP. Mweb, AXXESS, Afrihost, WebAfrica, Crystalweb, Openweb, etc (plus another couple that I forgot, incl one very shifty one)

Scary thing is I've been on each of those waves. Feeling old now...

Anyway...about 2 months ago when Rain started being hot on here I sarcastically remarked that it's the latest and greatest thing....

Edit 2: For extra laughs look at OP's join date. wow. colour me amazed

I remember these waves.... you remember DigiChilli?

The bandwidth stabilization is a problem anyhow. I don't think spectrum. What are they doing now?
