It's been a while since I have build a pc... I have a amd athlon 2800 at the moment and want to upgrade my motherboard and processor.... will my current ram still work in the new motherboard (in the interim)?

What would u like to upgrade to? Athlon 2800 was DDR333 ram iirc. New intels are DDR2 and AMD has just announced DDR2 support.....

I'd like to go to a amd socket 939 processor ... want upgrade piece by piece and use the old parts for a media centre type setup...
