Recommended Mods?

I'm trying to breathe some new life into some of my games. So I'm looking for some good mods for any of these games:

- Battlefield 1942
- Battlefield Vietnam
- Half-life 2

I don't plan to play online, so I'm only looking for mods for single player.

I've browsed ModDB, but it's hard to tell which mods are actually worth downloading. I don't want to waste my precious cap...

Any recommendations?

Doesn't really help for 2 reasons:

1) Half the mods aren't even released yet.
2) It's very hard to figure out if the mods have single player modes or if they're just multiplayer.

(Desert Combat I have...):)

Any more suggestions?

For Battlefield 1942:
1. Forgotten Hope (you'll never look back)
2. Battlegroup 42
3. Norwegian Resitance
4. Finnwars
5. Eve of Destruction
6. Who Dares Wins
7. Experience WW2

For Battlefield Vietnam:
1. Point of Existence

All these have good AI, some using AI addons. Find the Battlefield Singleplayer site:

Get the DayHard, minerva and garrys mod for HL2 they are realy good realy good,
ask your freinds for old 1 to 2 year old Pc format discs they have alot of mods for HL2
 
Minerva is a killer. Definitely worth a download. Shame that I lost mine somehow.
