Recruitment agency recommendations

Another thing to consider is the recruiters practical knowledge, understanding and knowledge of the industry/market segment they are focused on. The recruiter doesn't have to have x years as a developer, project manager or security specialist, but at least know what to look for in candidates or when drafting ads.

If they don't understand the job and the requirements to execute the duties, then you can expect a lot of frustration as an individual seeking employment and an employer seeking candidates.

Recently learned some of these agencies get paid 150k for a successful candidate (in specific cases)

Think I'm in the wrong line of business...thats unreal for the level of work.

20 to 30 percent of ctc is the norm

Id agree with you on the shoveling part,

its all a numbers game, its all about selling a dream to people,

having said that, I do agree with White-Raven, seems like she clued up in the IT field
I also dealt with Natasha at Raw IT, she is the team leader of a few of their agents, and seems really competent.

I also dealt with techies IT, also competent, as they all ex IT people,
but I dont know if they exist anymore, haven't seen them around anymore....
