Rectron a reseller?

Weird. I've bought mostly AOpen drives, and recently Lite-On, but no problems. Never had a problem with them placing orders when no stock - they always tell me up-front if there's no stock.

If Rectron is a reseller of components (and I assume this as nowhere has anyone stated that they are importing the products) where are they getting their stuff from?

They import and re-sell to South African dealers.

So in other words they are distributors of the brands that they import.

By calling them resellers (which is what dealers effectively are), it got a little confusing.

Reseller refers to Retailing goods that have been sent back for repair - rather than retail to the public.

Distributor refers to the distribution of products to dealers.
