Just curious to know. Remote Desktop software... What software would you recommend? I connect to my business through the VPN connection from my home ADSL line. Basically what i want to do is maintain the systems from home and also log onto the security systems to view what has happened since I've been away. People talk about VNC etc. Is that really the best? And is there a way to 'hide' whichever software i chose from the 'taskbar' and 'processes' in windows?

Stealthy, aint you! I've been using LogMeIn for quite a while now and it works great, and is free. As for hiding the fact that LogMeIn is installed, mmmm.... BTW, it is possible to configure a profile so that a user can't see that you are watching the PC or that you logged on.

use Remote Desktop if you got a windows PC
or a secure version of VNC (check if you can run it as a service)
use Hamachi . I know they part of logmein

Am capped so can't give you a link, just search vncviewer on google.com. It has a server also, works great on slow PCs. I have it running on a celeron 950 with 128mb of ram with XP on it to run SADC. Works very well. It is password protected and very quick to setup.
