Repairs in Durban

Hi Guys!

I have a N70 under warranty, took it to Vodaworld in Gateway - only to be told its been Liquid Damaged.

Not sure how, as its never been near liquid - but suppose I cant really argue.

Anyone know who in Durban repairs "liquid damaged" phone's?

did you argue with them, i had a nokia 6230i which they also told me was liquid damaged, i no for a fact it had never ever been anywhere near liquid.

i took it to another vodashop, who accepted it for repairs, it was repaired under warrenty......it had a faulty screen.

Im not sure how they identify Liquid damaged phones, I think if they find other residue on the phone they dont fix it, I know of a friend that had a "liquid damged" "BER" phone and he is still using it till now!!

I don't know what Nokia do, but Motorola have a sticker under the battery which changes colour when exposed to liquid - a fair and easy method.

"liquid damage" is the cellular provider term for screw you we don't have to honour anything!

Most devices have a little white TAB on the board and the battery ... this thing turns pink to red depending on the amount of exposure to liquid ... what you guyz need to remember is that the device might not of gone swimming to get a bit of liquid on it ... a sweaty palm is enuf ... very cold misty nights nights can do it as well ... leaving your device close to an air con that is quite cold can spoil your day ....
