Rodent did u hand over site?Plan now?

I agree 100% but it is a fine line. They should not be able to get into this position but our lovely country is a super place to cultivate shabby business practices. In other countries, when a user carries out the actions you are planning, that particular compay will either fold or jack up the service. Thanks to our government, there is no need for Sentech to jack up at all. So in a sad kind of way we are (almost) forced into acceptance of the service as is (in fact this is made super explicit in the 24 month contract)

All Im saying is dont be spiteful and cause damage to the image of Sentech unnecessarily because you or some other group of people are getting bad speeds (this group tends to move around, I rejoined it again today after some good days). By all means if you know its gonna light fire under their A$$ go ahead with full force. More likely though, they will have the Telkom type response so as time goes on less and less people will sign up due to the massive bad publicity which is partly a good thing. But you have to think of people like you and me who should be *greedy* ie. smile when bending over. Since more subscribers = more browsing/email customers means more bandwidth bought (thats the hope at least) and vast rollouts to smaller areas.

If Sentech jacked up their service, the ensuing growth of pseudo-broadband in SA could cause them to overtake Telkom in this particular target market.

As a subscriber "stuck" in my 24 month contract, I dont want to see the growth of the company grind to a halt (even if the service does suck) since then we will get rubbish service for the remainder of the contract (I guess as "punishment" for moaning). Remember, Im on your side but really its the country/government/Telkom mindset to blame. Those "taking the war to Sentech" tactics arent gonna work.

By the looks of it, you need to be quite passive about it ie. register a funny domain name and make one single update to it. No massive campaign required.

I'll link the sites from mine which is well linked etc in google, should be on there by the end of the month

I doubt they'll buy enough BW to give their customers decent speeds - we already just went through over a month of bad speeds, and the management have all but admitted (in the ITWeb article) it was because they simply didn't have enough BW, yet they were unwilling to fix it for over a month AND deliberately lied to many customers instead of admitting there was a problem at all. That basically confirms that this is a "greedy management" problem, and *that* isn't going to change no matter how many customers they have - they will always only buy enough BW to deliver slow average speeds. They probably think that SAns are so desparate for always-on connections, and have so few alternatives, that we'll mostly sign up anyway. And they're probably right. The only way to solve problems like this is to let bad companies die, letting them *know* that they only way to survive is if they provide good service. Only then will they provide good service. And they will, because they'd have to. I don't see it happening though, most SA consumers are willing to put up with bad service for exorbitant prices (many unnamed living examples as proof). So don't worry, with Sentech signing up mainstream retailers now, MyWireless is in no danger at all of failing financially, people will sign up in droves. 99% of people who walk into those retail stores or see ads for the service won't even be aware of these forums or of the speed problems.
