Good day ladies and tech savvy gents.I looked at xda for modern apps for windows that lets me browse a rooted phone to delete unwanted files, and i got alot. The phone warned me of no space and i did my best with the apk root explorer app but to no avail.
Most of the app is like 2014 etc and i need a 2023 solution to use my pc to find these memory hoggers.I use nethunter kali on the phone but that is only 10 gigs and there is like 20 gigs i need to delete.I looked at the cache but i still dont see where that 20 gigs went.

I got android sdk installed. Is there a way with a pc app to modify the root files of the phone , a modern solution.I do not want to use the phones apps.
thanks

Use Titanium Backup for "freezing" and backup of your Android apps.

I used ES Explorer back in the day, but the Android root thing for me was a phase in my life, where I flashed my daily driver with other ROMs, etc.
Gone are the days of loading a custom recovery, flashing a SuperSU zip file, "superSU" binary plus the SuperSU app... I even ran Droidsheep when it was a thing back in the day.

I see the FX app on Google Play does not seem too bad, I saw somewhere you could get root access...

Why don't you just use the ADB shell?

i want a gui windows program or linux that can represent the files to me,i do not want the cli way.I need to see what files is hogging as there was alot of failed downloads of windows isos on the device,i cant fine where it went to as i forgot the downloads name as it was numbers and words mixed.files by google is useless as it does not have good root support.

rooting is still a thing you know as most pentesting and badusb still needs it..
My phone can plug into a pc and inject code and it can simulate mouse and keyboard and be a keylogger, this would not be possible on a non rooted device.I also use my phone for study for loadshedding when the laptop dies after 2 hours i hop onto the phone ot ipad. Now the phone is useless due to the nagging of no space.
