SAIX problems anyone???

From about 14h00 today I basically can't get more than 4Kb/sec loading any website, local or international on SAIX shaped account at WA.
Normally I only have a problem on SAIX intern but now it's local sites too. Nothing basically loads at full speed and half the sites only start to load and go to 20% then stops.
I called WAfrica, not their problem. Called Telkom, they say my line syncs fine at 384Kbps.

Is anyone else (northern subs of Cape Town) experiencing a sudden decrease in load times of websites on SAIX shaped??

Problems galore here too.

Me and a friend...

Games has choke and Sites is slow...
Its not Webafrica, because my friend uses Telkom.

Im also in the Cape Town Area

Telkom tells me there's no problems in Cape Town 'that they're aware of'. Logs a call and someone will then call me back a few days after the issue has been resolved. It's such a waste of time. This is really frustrating.

Same here, it's the same all over S.A man. I get disconnected at least 3 or 4 times a week, the adsl just goes dead, no PPPOE connection. I've heard it all, veld fires burned the cables, a ufo landed, (okay not quite), the point is they always have an excuse, nobody can tell you the truth ;) :D :p
 
My Telephone doesn't worked for a week now.
Called Telkom and they said that will be here the next day (thats 6 days ago), I get the same answer every single time...

Don't we just hate them...

Same problems here in Worcester. connected to Bellville SAIX.
 
In bloem at the moment, the speeds are poo poo as well, doing a ping test to saix.net, yields an average of 222ms on my saix account and 355ms on my IS account. Also been like this from this afternoon from 14H00 onwards..

Not good...not good at all :(
 
Same problem in JHB.

No SAIX connectivity at all, although my IS "local only" account works fine.

Webafrica are denying it's happening, and Telkom say my line works fine (which it does), and that it's not their problem beyond that.

Been going on for days now. :(
 
Slow to non-existent browsing here in Durbanville on my IS 1024K uncapped business ADSL line since about 15:00. Also a high degree of packet loss.
 
wtf, still not fixed, this is getting really irritating, mail is intermittant, international browsing sucking big time. And i'm gonna miss my raid!!!!!
 
Yeah I've been having timeouts on most international sites today... :mad:

Can't even load most local sites and the ones that do load, are crawling. Did anyone call Telkom at 0800 375 375 to report the problem? Maybe if more do, they will take the problem seriously? CT N sub people... start dialing. :)
 
At 19h02 everything returned to normal again for me.
So why did everything suddenly change at 19h00? Is it just coincidence or is there a possibility that at 19h00 Telkom presses the red button to give the SAIX shaped customers a bit more bandwidth? ;)

I always get top linespeed at night and during the day it's the exact opposite, a nightmare. Reminds me of the dialup days! Even the "19h00" fits into the conspiracy! :)
 
Seems about 19:15 the IS news server picked up a bit, really nice ;)

SAIX has been the same for me the whole day, although I see a teeny tiny bit of an increase.
 
Problem solved - this is exactly the same timeframe I experienced the problem. Phew!

Hello.. Still having problems with SAIX .. Cape Town/Tygerberg area..
Local is fine

Connection drops every couple of minutes..
