Just a heads up to all those who are considering this for their new S23s.

I got the 12 month galaxy care on my s22 ultra last year and figured if I don't completely break the screen, when the time was up I would get the screen replaced from wear and tear anyway.

Fast forward to earlier this month, took the phone to my local Samsung centre and got turned away because the damage was not enough to necessitate a repair( have some serious scratches and one so deep it will crack any day now) . This is 100% at Samsungs discretion.

I know the correct answer here is hammer + phone to meet the criteria but that's not my first choice on a R20k flagship.

This is never communicated when signing up, and I'm quite dissapointed. Just a heads up to all those new owners before you give Samsung R2000 for the benefit of them to decide what necessitates a repair.

That kinda makes sense actually, same logic applies to battery replacement. If the battery is still technically healthy they won’t replace it either.

It’s pretty much like insurance, wear and tear is not covered. Damage is.

Uhh..

Scratched does not equal cracked.. don't know why you expected anything else.. you should really read the T's and C's:

"The Standard Plan does not apply to cosmetic damage to the Plan Device, including but not limited to scratches and dents that does not otherwise prevent the functionality of the Plan Device."

Just spend the R2000 on a cover and glass screen protector. Problem solved.
