Also,

Disable receive notifications even when the phone screen is on.
 
Where is the best site for Samsung Gear watch faces? I updated the watch yesterday and from what I understand it is running the Tizen OS and not the Android OS.
 
Is there a way to connect the galaxy gear to another phone? I tried to load the gear manager app on my BLU smartphone but that does not open so I cannot connect the watch to the new phone.

hacking which device? I think I saw somewhere online that the BLU phones are easy to root via KINGROOT or something along those lines. I might have seen something about the gear being rooted/hacked but have not looked into that.

both? not sure. have seen some articles about the hacks, but haven't paid much attention to them since moving away from my Gear 2.
 
Ok newbie here, thinking of a gear s3
how does it shape up? where is the best place to buy? are there payment options ala vodacom?
And anything i need to know? any pitfalls?
Any advice would be very welcome.

I have the gear s2... and it's awesome.

You should be able to get it as a bolt-on to a contract, but i'm not sure if you can bolt it on, when you somewhere in the middle of a 2-year contract

You really can't go wrong with the S3, it is by far the best smart watch. As far as i know and after some searches myself, the service providers are pretty clueless, they completely dropped the ball on this watch and most of them do not even know what you are talking about. So if anyone knows if MTN or Vodacom does offer something on this, please let us know.

But for now, looks like only a cash option, at Incredible connection, Takealot and i have seen it at Dion Wired as well.
