Samsung Galaxy S4

CM Camera sucks balls if we are honest.

I don't care about version 3 tbh, this CM version is where its at. Ale95 just gave me too many issues, i.e. apps closing at random (seemed like a memory management issue)
I went back to look into Cm12.1 after your initial comment. I had been craving a change but was reluctant to sit with all the instabilities that have plagued CM for the i9500. I'm actually very impressed. This is the first time in ages. Camera quality aside, it's actually stable!

20160302 nightly.

Yep. Same version here.

Set the dpi to 400

My battery has swollen quite a lot, anyone know if there was a time limit on Samsung replacing the S4's faulty batteries?

It's covered by your 24 month warranty. They won't replace the battery if it falls outside your warranty period.

Give it a try anyway. Go to Samsung store and ask. Worse they can do is say no or say it will cost you. Otherwise I think TAKEALOT sells the batteries for cheap

have you installed the latest nightly yet? any issues?
I'm on 20160405 and will comfortably get 20160407. In the hope that the ir blaster gets sorted, I have been on almost every nightly since they picked up the pace. They've all kept the same stability.

Does anyone else have camera issues? Mine takes up to 30 seconds to open. Occasionally it will give an error saying unable to connect to camera.

Considering buying new phone.

I think that lead replacement stuff they use now instead of solder is likely corroded.

Booted this puppy up today, I plan on using it as a Dashcam, with it being the 32GB variant it should do fine at 720P.

Booted it up at around 6pm today and it has been doing software updates the whole night lol, it's done about 4 now, busy with its 5th as I type this. Very impressed at how this phone has held up.

Just make sure you don't leave the screen on as a dashcam, as the S4's AMOLED display will suffer severe burn in very quickly.

Yep yep. It already had a replacement done back in late 2013 due to a flashing display issue. I have set it to very low brightness.

I don't mind burn in on it though as all its working as is a recording device, I just export each video to Google Drive the moment it connects to my WiFi when I arrive home.

EDIT:

SHUCKS, I forgot what a little beast this phone was busy turning off all these feature like IR Blaster Remote, Gesture controls etc... Amazing how much Samsung packed into this thing.
