Samsung miniDV camera

I've got a bit of a puzzler here with this camera.

A Samsung VP-D103i camera is behaving very oddly. When in night mode it works perfectly, records fine, everything is dandy. Out of night mode though, it absolutely refuses to focus at all. Even with manual focus the best thing you get is a controlled blur.

It's not just the LCD either, it reflects on the recorded image. Anyone have a clue for me?

sounds like a faulty cam, take it back and let them test it. or go show them that recording.. and hear what they have to say about it....

I doubt thats how the camera is suppose to work...

What price range??
