Samsung S500i

Where can I take a Samsung S500i (from Ireland) to be network unlocked??? Samsung said to take it to the nearest service provider - but Vodacare cant help because apparently the software is not in the country.
Any suggestions??

If you cant find a place...its easy enough to do it yourself. Just need a serial cable which you can get off ebay and the software which you can google for, you might even find hacked firmware for your phone if you look hard enough.

If it is a new phone, you might have to wait a while

You should be able to get all the neccessary info on the internet. Just search for it.

Ive just got this phone - where can I get the gprs settings for it. *111# doesnt work since the phone had to be unlocked to use here.

even Samsung helpline cant do anything. Where could I get the settings for this phone - surely there must be a way.
