Sansui windows 8" WIB802

Driver installation

Turns out that the touchscreen driver installation process was slightly more involved than simply telling Windows to use a certain INF file. There's also "Touchsetting.gt" and "GT912_1040.BIN" that needs to be copied into your windows\INF folder.

I also don't think installing the drivers via the Device Manager works as it should, so you have to use something like devcon.exe.

I've managed to bundle all the original files and script this process, in case anyone still needs these drivers. Tested it on a squeaky clean Windows 10 Anniversary Edition install and it works on my machineTM. Obviously you'll still need a OTG/Bluetooth mouse/keyboard to be able to log in and run this batch file (install.bat).

I'm trying to get one of these tablets running with Windows 10. I did the upgrade not saving anything, so now the touchscreen doesn't work. Tried above but it's just showing "devcon.exe failed". Anyone who might be able to help with this?

All the Onedrive links in the thread seems to be dead, anyone still have the recovery files?

How do I boot from a USB device on this tablet. I've created windows 8.1 and 10 boot disks via Rufus and Unetbootin, but it's never detected in the bios. I can however use them to boot from another pc. If I create a linux boot disk, then it's detected in the bios and boots from USB fine.

What am I doing wrong?

I'm trying to go back to 8.1, currently on 10, but it's not detecting the touchscreen, sound or SD card reader.

You most likely need a usb hub, mouse and keyboard to do the restore. As for getting it to pick up, you might have to comb this thread for replies on the method to do that. I would have said use ventoy but that came out way later than this tab
