Self install on business line

Does anyone know whether there is a self install option for ADSL on a business line? After searching the Telkom web site and phoning two "consultants" I still don't have an answer.

As it is I had to pay a deposit of R700 for the new line since it is a new business. (charming, nail the guy STARTING a business! Good incentive to start one so....)

So anyway, I do hope that I can get away with saving the odd R400 for an installation. Would even be better if it includes a free modem, but then, who am I kidding..

Yes a friend of mine got the "do level 3" for his business on a month-2-month (no contract) at the beginning of July and did the self install which saved the installation fee and also got a free modem.

Another insomniac... Thanks MrH, after struggling with consultants over the phone I think I will go to a Telcom-direct shop. At least now it seems worth the drive and effort..

We only needed to sign surity and did a self install. However we already had a normal telkom line installed. Even got the free modem. Did everything through our local Telkom shop.
