Hi all,
We just bought a new cheapie PC for our Creditors Clerk. When it arrived, I noticed that it only has one 9-pin serial port and zero 25-pin serial, but 8 USB ports. I was expecting it to have two 9-pin ports, or atleast one 9-pin and a 25-pin.

The problem is that she needs atleast two 9-pin ports, one for the biometric clock machine, and one for the PABX call monitor. I know that I could install a PCI serial card, but I would rather just use an adaptor, rather than send it back to Matrix for them to install the PCi expansion card.

I imagine it needs to be 9-pin male one end and USB the other.
So, does anyone know where I can get one of these from? They seem to be easy to find world-wide, but not in SA.

TIA

I used Bafo products before to achieve the results. It works.
It is available in here, just haven't looked for a store recently.

It's a IR Handpunch 1000. I don't think it would be a problem, they offered an adaptor, but at R450. Sure I could find it cheaper.

@derekc, is that link right, seems to be broken.
