First, make sure your cell is fully charged, and that you have the USB data cable and the Nokai Software Suite CD ready.
Put the CD in and install the software.
After the software installed successfully, remove the CD and store it in a safe place.
Connect the USB data cable to any USB port, and mark which port you've used - this is important, I will detail later on why.
Make sure your phone is unlocked before connecting the data cable. Start the Nokia PC Suite app first up, and click on the 'Get Connected' button.
Select Cable and click on Next.
When prompted, connect the phone to the cable. Make sure that the part with the arrow on is facing upwards.
The Nokia PC Suite will install a small piece of software on the phone itself, so you'll need to confirm the installation.
Once done, click on the "Connect to the Internet" button and verify working operation (by opening a Web browser, surfing to hellkom.co.za and pulling Ivy's nose for fun).
Once verified that it is working, disconnect, but leave the suite open.
Go to your Dial-up Connections. You will see a new entry added there, labeled " ". Right-click on this entry, click on Properties, click on Networking and put the tick into the "Share this Connection" box. (My wife is working on the other PC as I type this and I don't want to bother her to verify this, but will verify tomorrow). The reason for having you to mark your USB port is that should you put the phone onto another USB port, it will create another connection which will be unshared.
Restart the other computer(s) on the network for the changes to take effect. If you have other DHCP servers, disable these before restarting the other PC's.
Connect to the Internet again, make sure you can surf on the shared PC.
Go to any other PC and check for Internet access, should be working as well.
If not, disable any firewalls and try again.
I've managed to share my wife's Nokia 6680 on her PC and is now typing this on my SuSE box.
Hope this helps.
This method should also work for other phones as well, YMMV.
