Sharing ADSL bandwith equally between 4 "users"

Also might be a plan is buy a router that runs dd-wrt or openwrt these you can set connection shaping for IP's.
Or just purchase 3 of these AP client routers http://www.dbg.co.za/product_info.php?cPath=1_55_56&products_id=630 for R300 each.
And set your wireless to TX/RX only at 1 mb or set up QOS on each of these small access points/Routers.
Have one of these bad boys at home have a wireless router in bridge mode and use this Access point with ppoE to provide wireless to the rest of the house. Have done this so I can connect to router directly from my PC for gaming and anyone who uses the Access point gets QOS applied to them so it doesn't affect my gaming :-)

Hey Buffel_banger,

The solutions proposed here will work fine.

I'm a fan of Mikrotik's features, but NOT of its usability. So if you think in future you might want to change some settings without pulling out a manual, or if you think you might want to do application shaping (e.g. don't allow Windows Updates to chew up the entire link), have a look at Meraki - http://www.skyrove.com/meraki-tour/

It does cost more, and might not be the best "bang for buck" if you only ever plan to have 4 devices on your network.

Good luck!

Just had a look at that mikrotik router what an awesome little device.
Ya it runs Linux kernel so you prob going to have to do stuff in CLI but donno haven't used the stuff.
Really want one now looks really cool.
