Eskom can do whatever they want after we have equal competition involving choice.
At a minimum we need 3 (Eskom + 2 independent) electricity providers , then if consumers have choice I couldn't care less if Eskom want to increase tariffs at will. In the mean time with effectively a monopoly they should be forced to deal with their debt in restructuring/cutting costs without throwing all their own fkups in the face of consumers.
